Hawaii Community Reinvestment Corporation (HCRC) is a community-based non-profit corporation founded in 1991 to improve the quality and availability of affordable housing in the State of Hawaii. With participation from eight major financial institutions in the State, HCRC provides below-market interest rate loans for take out and financing the acquisition/ rehabilitation of properties for low-and moderate income families.
HCRC, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Hawaii Investors for Affordable Housing, Inc. (HIAHI), also organizes tax credit investment funds which assist operating partnerships in the production, rehabilitation and preservation of affordable housing through the use of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program.
